My longest running collaborative effort with composer/trombonist/droner/bff Mattie Barbier. We perform in a wide variety of contexts, presenting our own work as well as that of composers and artists we are inspired by.
Various projects have been presented by the Darmstadt Ferienkurse für Neue Musik (Germany), Borealis Festival (Norway), Musica Nova Helsinki, Märzmusik (Berlin), bludenzer tage zeitgemäßer musik (Austria), Frequency Festival (Chicago), Los Angeles Philharmonic, JAMA (Slovakia), Harvard University, Stanford University, High Desert Soundings (Joshua Tree), Coaxial Arts (LA), wasteLAnd, Kalvfestivalen (Sweden), and more.
We’ve collaborated with a range of sound practitioners including Kevin Drumm, Liza Lim, George Lewis, Michelle Lou, Catherine Lamb, Katherine Young, Lester St. Louis, Laura Steenberge, Ted Hearne, Zachary James Watkins, BEAM SPLITTER (Audrey Chen & Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø), Katharina Rosenberger, Wilfrido Terrazas, Timothy McCormack, Forbes Graham, Jeb Bishop, and Sam Pluta. Most recently, we’ve been featured soloists with both the Helsinki Philharmonic and the SWR Symphonieorchester as a part of Clara Iannotta’s “where the dark earth bends”.
